BERG-GESUND
exploring with the mountain professionals
The BERG-GESUND association in Grossarltal has developed an enticing array of hiking, mountain touring, and climbing activities. Throughout the summer, various guided tours are available weekly, led by state-certified hiking and mountain guides. From leisurely walks to challenging high-mountain tours, there's something for everyone. The summer program runs from mid-May to October.
The focus is on enjoying an intense mountain experience with all five senses. Challenging summit tours are on the agenda, as well as unwinding in nature, alpine yoga, paragliding, and climbing. The best part: For guests from member establishments, these tours are free. Find information about equipment and requirements for each tour when you register on the BERG-GESUND website.
For the untrained, longer mountain tours can often be challenging. With the right preparation, however, hiking and mountaineering tours can become really enjoyable experiences. On the Fitness Hike with Andreas Viehhauser (a certified personal trainer, nutrition expert, and athletic coach), you'll stop at three stations along the way to perform simple strength and bodyweight exercises. These exercises can also help you prepare for your mountain vacation even while you are still at home.
